Fitting Guide - Universal Mounting BTA Plate

What You'll Need

  • 4mm and 5mm Hex Keys (Allen Keys)
  • Torque Wrench (recommended)
  • Your Tri bars & AS BTA

Step 1: Remove Pads

Remove velcro elbow padding to see the screws underneath, take a mental note of screw positions (or take a photo not to forget)

Step 2: Untighten Screws & Remove Arm rests

Measure the length of screws that you've just removed, these screws will now need to be replaced with 2mm-4mm longer screws of the same size and head type that you've just removed.

Step 3: Add Carbon Plate

Place carbon plate on bars ensuring some of the threaded holes are accessible through the rectangular pockets.

Step 4: Re-install arm rests

Re-install arm rests over the top of the carbon plate and it is important to remember to use 2-4mm longer screws than the ones you removed to account for the additional clamping thickness of the carbon plate.

It is very important to make sure that you have suitable thread engagement on these screws to keep the arm rests secure.

We recommend to use torque wrench for these screws and to use the torque values specified by the manufacturer of the aerobars for these screws.

We recommend using at least 2 screws per side.

Step 5: Add Velcro Padding Back On

The Universal Carbon Mounting Plate is now secure
